Stephanie and Douglas Prewitt bought a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 1035 Glenford Court in Kirkwood from Renovations By Design, Inc., for $325,000 on Feb. 19.

Renovations By Design paid $280,000 for the property in Aug. 2007. The 2,196-square-foot home was built in 1964.

Ms. Prewitt is a development manager at the St. Louis office of the Humane Society of the United States, an animal protection organization.

She attended the University of Missouri-Columbia.

There were 523 sales in Kirkwood in 2008, with a median sales price of $195,000.
