Thomas P. Hizar and his wife, Anne, sold a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 1127 St. Croix Court in Kirkwood to Robert W. Mill for $318,000 on Feb. 23.

The Hizars bought the property for $185,000 in Aug. 2008. The 1,782-square-foot house was built in 1968.

Mr. Hizar is an alderman of the 3rd Ward for the City of Frontenac. He has also served as president of the St. Louis-based Verlock, a manufacturer of shopping cart locks.

Mrs. Hizar, a native of St. Louis, is a realtor with Laura McCarthy Real Estate in Clayton.

There were 530 home sales in Kirkwood in 2008, with a median sales price of $195,000.
