Spencer L. Gohre bought a three-bedroom, one-bath home at 946 Wood Ave. in Kirkwood from Steven and Marian Wilson for $295,000 on March 10.

The 1,392-square-foot, single-story house was built in 1948.

Gohre is a contract recruiter at Monsanto, an agricultural firm. He also owns and manages his own firm, Spencer Gohre, Inc.

Previously, he was the director of recruiting, training and development at Clayco Construction Co., Inc. Earlier, he worked at Maritz as a performance improvement consultant and at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota as an instructor.

He attended Metropolitan State University and Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.

There were 519 home sales in Kirkwood in 2008, with a median sales price of $195,750.
