Scott B. Rolen and his wife, Nikisha, have listed for sale a five-bedroom, seven-bath home at 16 Ridgecreek Rd. in Town & Country for $2,999,500.
The Rolens paid $2.45 million for the property in Aug. 2005. The 7,223-square-foot house was built in 1959.
Rolen is a third baseman for the Toronto Blue Jays. Previously, he played with the St. Louis Cardinals and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Drafted by the Philies in the second round of the 1993 MLB Draft, he made his debut with Philadelphia in 1998. During the 2002 season he was traded to the Cardinals, where he spent the next five seasons. Prior to the 2008 season, Rolen was traded to Toronto in exchange for Troy Glaus. He spent much of his first season with the Blue Jays injured, but managed to finish with a .262 batting average with 11 home runs and 50 RBIs.
He has received seven Gold Gloves at third base, the third most all-time. He is a five-time All Star, the 1997 National League Rookie of the Year and was a member of the 2006 St. Louis Cardinals World Series Championship team. In 1,620 career games, he has 1,665 hits, 272 home runs and 1,062 RBIs.
