Alexander Khavanov has listed for sale a two-bedroom, two-bath condo at 500 North and South Road in University City for $445,000.
Khavanov paid $395,000 for the property in Feb. 2003. The 1,960-square-foot Unit #306 is part of the Claymont Place condo development.
Khavanov is a former defenseman with the NHL's St. Louis Blues and Toronto Maple Leafs. His last professional season was in 2006-07 with the Swiss team HC Davos.
He was drafted in the eighth round of the 1999 NHL Draft by the Blues and joined the team for the 2000-01 season. As a 27-year-old rookie he scored seven goals and had 16 assists in 74 games. He spend four seasons with the Blues before joining the Maple Leafs for the 2005-06 season, his final NHL season.
In 348 career NHL games, he scored 27 goals and had 75 assists.
Sales at Claymont Place were down 55.6 percent from 2006-2007. The median sales price also fell 3.1 percent during that time period.
There were 28 condo sales in University City in 2008, with a median sales price of $170,000.
