Metal industry vet selling 5BD in Town & Country

Morris and Marlene Lefton are selling a five-bedroom, four-bath home at 489 Killearn Lane in Town & Country for $990,000.

The two-story, 5,066-square-foot home was built in 1973. It is in the Killearn neighborhood.

Mr. Lefton is the owner and co-founder of Metal Exchange Corp. He began his career in metals in 1946, working with Lefton Iron & Scrap Co., in St. Louis before moving on to Aluminum Services Corp. and Diversified Industries.

He started Metal Exchange Corp. in Nov. 1974.

There were 126 sales in Town & Country in 2008, with a median sales price of $699,950.
