Dr. Catherine R. Remus and her husband, Jeffrey, bought a three-bedroom, one-bath home at 6945 Dartmouth Ave. in University City from Keren and Gabriel Douek for $269,500 on March 31.

The Doueks paid $270,000 for the property in Dec. 2004. The 1,537-square-foot house, which was built in 1925, is in the University Heights neighborhood.

Dr. Remus is an assistant in clinical pediatrics at the Washington University School of Medicine and is also affiliated with Esse Health Pediatrics.

She earned her M.D. from Rush Medical College in 1983 and completed her pediatrics residency at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.

Ms. Douek is a technical recruiter at Kforce Professional Staffing. Prior to joining Kforce, she was channel marketing at Kiosite and an associate editor at St. Louis Jewish Light.

She founded IFP Enterprises in 2006, a public relations and communications firm.

There were 715 home sales in University City in 2008, with a median sales price of $149,000.
