Contracting firm exec spends $1.286M on Clayton 8BD

Craig A. Bridell bought an eight-bedroom, 5.5-bath home at 6401 Ellenwood Ave. in Clayton from James T. Witherspoon for $1.286 million on April 1.

The 6,365-square-foot, two-story house was built in 1923.

Bridell is the president and shareholder of ARCO Holdings, a St. Louis-based general contracting firm. He has been with the company for more than 15 years and formerly served as vice president of operations at ARCO National Construction Co.

There were 181 home sales in Clayton in 2008, with a median sales price of $475,000.
