Dr. George E. Romkema bought a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 5219 Autumnwinds Dr. in Oakville from Fannie Mae and Federal National Mortgage Association for $255,000 on April 13.

Federal National foreclosed on the property in Feb. 2008. The 2,436-square-foot house, which was built in 1996, is in the neighborhood of Lake View Park.

Dr. Romkema is an anesthesiologist at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis.

He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1982 and trained in anesthesiology at Barnes Jewish Hospital.

There were 313 home sales in Oakville in 2008, with a median sales price of $212,000.
