Dr. Michael Hulsizer and his wife, Michelle, bought a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 7601 Arlington Ave. in Shrewsbury from Walter G. Kempf and Margaret A. Duffield for $252,500 on April 16.
Kempf and Duffield paid $230,000 for the property in July 2002. The 1,783-square-foot house, which was built in 1940, is in the neighborhood of Shrewsbury Park.
Dr. Hulsizer is an associate professor in experimental psychology at Webster University.
He received his B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1991 and earned his M.A. and Ph.D. from Kent State University.
There were 79 sales in Shrewsbury in 2008, with a median sales price of $170,720.
