Marketing pro, recruiter selling University City 3BD

Daniel Markenson and his wife, Alison, have listed for sale a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 7135 Lindell Blvd. in University City for $379,000.

The Markensons bought the property for $332,000 in Nov. 2001. The 2,002-square-foot house, which was built in 1923, is in neighborhood of Forsyth Place.

Mr. Markenson has served as director of customer marketing at Furniture Brands International. He has also worked for Nestle Purina and Ford Motor Co.

He earned his B.S. in marketing from Indiana University Bloomington (1991) and his M.B.A. in finance from Pepperdine University (1994).

Mrs. Markenson works as a recruiter at American Express Incentive Services. She has also served in recruitment positions at Hewlett-Packard and DTE Energy.

She attended Pepperdine University and Michigan State University.

There were 718 home sales in University City in 2008, with a median sales price of $150,000.
