Jeremy R. Degenhart and his wife, Sarah, bought a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 7126 Pershing Ave. in University City from Peter J. Kastor for $272,000 on May 4.

Kastor, along with Jami L. Ake, bought the property for $242,000 in June 2000. The 2,399-square-foot house, which was built in 1920, is in University City South.

Mr. Degenhart is senior vice president at Advantage Capital Partners in St. Louis, which he joined in 2001. He previously worked for the boutique investment bank Wydown Capital as an analyst.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis.

There were 720 home sales in University City in 2008, with a median sales price of $150,000.
