The Shepleys paid $285,000 for the property in Feb. 2001. The 3,112-square-foot home was built in 1937.

Gion most recently served as a hospital account manager in the St. Louis office of the pharmaceutical company Wyeth. Prior to joining Wyeth, he was a territory manager at Schwarz Pharma.

He has a B.S. in secondary education from the University of Missouri–Columbia.

There were 478 sales in Kirkwood in 2008, with a median price of $190,000.
