Alexander Khavanov sold a two-bedroom, two-bath condo at 500 North and South Road in University City to Judith A. Rau for $333,000 on May 21.

Khavanov paid $395,000 for the property in Feb. 2003. The 1,960-square foot Unit #306 is part of the Claymont Place condominium development.

Khavanov is a former defenseman with the NHL's St. Louis Blues and Toronto Maple Leafs. He was drafted in the eighth round of the 1999 NHL Draft by the Blues and joined the team for the 2000-01 season. He spent four seasons with the Blues prior to joining the Maple Leafs for the 2005-06 season.

He played in 348 games in his 15-year NHL career, scoring 27 goals and tallying 75 assists.

There were 589 home sales in University City in 2008, with a median sales price of $39,000.
