Dr. Thomas H. Tung and his wife, Tobey, bought a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 7130 Wydown Blvd. in Clayton from Susan M. Riley for $950,000 on May 14.

Ms. Riley bought the property for $515,000 in Aug. 2002. The 3,029-square-foot house, which was built in 1953, is in the neighborhood of East of Hanley Road.

Dr. Tung, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, is an assistant professor of surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

He earned his medical degree in 1990 from the University of Maryland in Baltimore and finished his residency in 1991 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y. He completed his fellowship training at Johns Hopkins Medical School and Washington University.

There were 204 home sales in Clayton in 2008, with a median sales price of $570,000.
