Jervis S. Finney and his wife, Josephine, sold their three-bedroom, 1.5-bath home at 549 Mapleview Dr. in University City to Brookhill Development LLC for $300,000 on May 26.

The Finneys purchased the property for $350,000 in April 2005. The 1,686-square-foot house, which was built in 1937, is in University City South.

Mr. Finney serves as counsel the Baltimore, Md., office of Ober, Kaler, Grimes & Shriver. He specializes in business and commercial cases, trial and appeal, product liability and general litigation in state and federal courts. Prior to that, he was the counsel, criminal court and senior court advisor to Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr., president and chairman of Maryland Criminal Justice Administration Institute and was a member of the finance committee of the Senate of Maryland.

He received his A.B. from Princeton University and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.

There were 712 home sales in University City in 2008, with a median sales price of $151,000.
