Jon M. Barris and his wife, Melissa, sold their four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 11144 Fairborough Court in Creve Coeur to Rubén Hernández-Murillo for $276,000 on May 26.

Bariss purchased the property for $230,000 in June 2000. The 2,538-square-foot house in the Pendleton Place subdivision was built in 1988.

Mr. Baris is the assistant director of career services at the St. Louis University College of Law. Prior to that, he served as an attorney at the Legal Services of Eastern Missouri and Barris Law Firm.

He graduated from the University of Missouri–Columbia with a degree in political science. He earned his J.D. from Washington University.

Mrs. Baris is a partner at Husch Blackwell Sanders LLP in St. Louis. She practices in the areas of employee benefits litigation, appellate, class actions and business and insurance litigation.

She earned a degree in political economy from Tulane University and her J.D. from Washington University.

Hernandez-Murillo is a senior economist in the research division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

He earned a degree in economics from the Mexico Autonomous Institute of Technology and his M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Rochester.

There were 361 home sales in Creve Coeur in 2008, with a median sales price of $180,000.
