Douglas W. Rau and his wife, Janet, have listed for sale their four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 1457 Neffwold Lane in Kirkwood for $549,900.

The 2,916-square-foot home was built in 1993 in the Kirkwood Southwest neighborhood. Robin Ruhl of Laura McCarthy is the agent for the listing.

Mr. Rau is vice president of human resources at Sigma-Aldrich Corp., a St. Louis-based supplier of reagents and materials for use in research and development, diagnostics and analysis. Prior to joining the company in Oct. 2005, he served as vice president of human resources and as director of training and development at Kellwood Co., a women's apparel marketer headquartered in Chesterfield. He also worked in human resources at Mark Andy Inc. and at Pet Inc.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Missouri–Columbia and his M.B.A. from St. Louis University.

There were 501 sales in Kirkwood in 2008, with a median price of $190,000.
