Post-Dispatch publisher selling Frontenac 5BD

Medium c098c64f4cb3ed631f2cae8362f17845 Kevin Mowbray has listed for sale a five-bedroom, four-bath home at 476 Steeplechase Lane in Frontenac for $1.36 million.

Mowbray bought the property for $1.25 million in Aug. 2006. The 5,329-square-foot house is in the Frontenac South neighborhood. Lisa Nelson of Laura McCarthy Real Estate is the listing agent.

Mowbray is the publisher of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He was named to this position in 2006. He is also a vice president at Lee Enterprises Inc., the Davenport, Iowa-headquartered publishing company that owns the Post-Dispatch, and he currently oversees the operation of 13 Lee newspapers.

He was previously was the publisher of The Times of Northwest Indiana. He began his career with Lee in 1986 in Kewanee, Ill. as an advertising sales representative. He later became national sales manager for corporate sales and marketing based in Chicago after serving in sales positions in Montana. He was the general manager of The Missoulian in Montana and publisher for The Bismarck Tribune in North Dakota.

He studied journalism at Western Illinois University.

There were 49 home sales in Frontenac in 2008, with a median sales price of $632,000.
