Family physician settles in Eureka 4BD

Dr. Carl N. Peters and his wife, Marie, bought a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 639 Southern Hills Dr. in Eureka from Scott P. Seiler and his wife, Jennifer, for $345,000 on Aug. 3.

The Seilers bought the property for $415,000 in Dec. 2005. The 2,870-square-foot house, which was built in 1997, is in the Eureka South neighborhood.

Dr. Peters is a family medicine practitioner with OSF Medical Group in Normal, Ill. He is also affiliated with St. Joseph Medical Center.

He earned his M.D. from the University Of Missouri School of Medicine and finished his residency in family medicine at David Grant USAF Medical Center.

There were 179 home sales in Eureka in 2008, with a median sales price of $225,000.
