Former Cardinals GM Walt Jocketty sells Richmond Heights 5BD

Medium ad7f0414ab3538c11efbfdf2e776e238 Walter and Susan Jocketty sold a five-bedroom, five-bath home at 1210 Lay Road in Richmond Heights to John and Lori Goltermann for $2 million on Sept. 9.

Jockettys paid $2,103,865 for the property in April 2005. The 7,140-square-foot house in Richmond Heights North was built in 2004.

Mr. Jocketty is the general manager of the Cincinnati Reds. Previously, he was the general manager of the St. Louis Cardinals for 13 seasons.

During his time with the Cardinals, the team won seven division titles, two league championships and the 2006 World Series. He began his career as director of minor league scouting and operations with the Oakland Athletics, and he also worked with the Colorado Rockies before joining St. Louis in 1994.

He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota.

Mr. Goltermann is managing director and chief compliance officer at Essex Ridge Capital Group LLC. Prior to joining Essex Ridge, he practiced securities law at Armstrong Teasdale LLP and he was a private banker at Bank of America.

He received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University and his J.D. from St. Louis University.

Ms. Goltermann is president of Missouri operations at Aon Corp., a provider of risk management, insurance and reinsurance brokerage and human capital consulting.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 142 sales in Richmond Heights in 2008, with a median sales price of $175,000.
