Dr. Christopher T. Arett and his wife, Kristina, bought a four-bedroom, four-bath home at 7398 Stratford Ave. in University City from Brian Cross and his wife, Angela, for $720,000 on Sept. 21.

The Crosses paid $670,000 for the property in Oct. 2004. The 3,136-square-foot home was built in 2000 in the University Hills subdivision.

Dr. Arett is a general urologist at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese, Ill. He is also a resident surgeon at Belleville Urology Associates. He previously held research and teaching positions at the Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery at Washington University.

He earned his degree in biology and his M.D. from Washington University School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in urology.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 955 sales in University City in 2008, with a median sales price of $160,000.
