Dr. Duane D. Baumann and his wife, Nancy, have listed for sale a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 14 Spoede Lane in Creve Coeur for $1.149 million.

The 3,780-square-foot house in the Creve Coeur East neighborhood was built in 1940. Valerie Engel of Janet Mcafee Real Estate is the listing agent for the home.

Dr. Baumann has been the executive director of the Universities Council on Water Resources and a professor at Southern Illinois University. He served as a chairman of the board at University Bank, Bank of DeSoto and First National Bank and Trust of Carbondale.

He earned his Ph.D. from Clark University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 209 home sales in Creve Coeur in 2008, with a median sales price of $289,500.
