Jing Qiu bought a four-bedroom, two-bath home at 872 Wellesley Terrace Lane in Chesterfield from Joseph and Rosemarie Huesing for $300,000 on Sept. 30.

The 2,403-square-foot home in the North of 64 neighborhood was built in 1994.

Qiu works as an assistant professor in the department of statistics at the University of Missouri-Columbia and a consulting statistician at the Missouri Agricultural Experiment Station. She previously served as a teaching assistant at Cornell University, as a research assistant at the Jackson Library and as an intern with the Food and Drug Administration.

She received her B.S. in information management from the University of Science and Technology of China and her M.S. and Ph.D. in statistics from Cornell University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 505 home sales in Chesterfield during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $305,000.
