Dr. Malik Ahmed and his wife, Akhtar, have listed for sale a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 12900 Thornhill Dr. in Town & Country for $499,000.

The Akhtar Ahmeds bought the property for $426,000 in Jan. 2004. The 2,459-square-foot house was built in 1961 in the Town & Country South neighborhood. Christina Krewson of Prudential Select Properties is the agent for the listing.

Dr. Ahmed is a psychiatrist in St. Louis.

He earned his M.D. from the University of Punjab King Edward Medical College in Pakistan and he served his residency at the St. Louis University School of Medicine.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 105 home sales in University City during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $600,000.
