Dr. Mathew J. Spellman and his wife, Sharon, bought a five-bedroom, 4.5-bath home at 1115 Hampton Park Dr. in Richmond Heights from Andrew F. Bell and his wife, Renee, for $985,000 on March 15.

The 4,378-square-foot home was built in 1927 in the Richmond Heights North neighborhood.

Dr. Spellman is a board certified urologist. He currently works at Urology Consultants Ltd. in St. Louis and he is a member of the faculty at the Washington University School of Medicine.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his M.D. from the University of Iowa. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 159 home sales in Richmond Heights during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $175,000.
