Covidien research manager buys in Ballwin

Todd A. Osiek and Stefanie M. Osiek bought a four-bedroom home at 1246 Du Motier Drive in Unincorporated Ballwin from Paul A. Oberle and his wife, Jan, for $390,000 on May 4.

The 2,548-square-foot home in the Lafayette Farms subdivision was built in 1981. The house has two full bathrooms and two half-baths.

Mr. Osiek has been a research manager at Covidien, a healthcare devices and supplies company.

He holds a B.S. in chemistry from St. Louis University and a Ph.D. in chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis.

Ms. Osiek has been a branch manager at the St. Louis office of ResCare HomeCare, a provider of personalized non-medical home care services. She previously was an associate executive director at Sunrise Senior Living.

She has a B.A. in health care management from Maryville University of St. Louis and an M.A. in Gerontology from Webster University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 61 home sales in Unincorporated Ballwin during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $196,250.
