The estate of Benjamin Franklin Edwards III has listed for sale the five-bedroom, 3.75-bath home at 9846 Old Warson Road in Ladue for $1.1 million.
The 4,769-square-foot house was built in 1966 in Ladue South. It is located in the Forest Green Estates subdivision. Ellen Sedgwick of Janet McAfee Real Estate is the listing agent for the house.
Edwards was a stockbroker at A. G. Edwards, a brokerage firm founded by his great-grandfather. He joined the company in 1956 and became president in 1967. During his tenure as president, the company's network expanded to cover 49 states and the capital increased by more than 400 times to $1.6 billion. He passed away on April 20, 2009.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University in 1953.
