Counselor buys home in Olivette

Dr. Karen Tamaren bought a three-bedroom, three-bath home at 9236 Old Bonhomme Road in Olivette from Dr. Janice R. Semenkovich for $315,000 on Aug. 19.

The 1,761-square-foot house was built in 1960 in Olivette South. It is located in the subdivision of Chevy Chase.

Dr. Tamaren is a licensed professional counselor at Premier Psychiatric Services. She holds an M.S. in clinical psychology from Southern Illinois University and a Ph.D. in marriage and family counseling from Saint Louis University.

Dr. Semenkovich practices diagnostic radiology in St. Louis.

She earned her medical degree from Washington University in Saint Louis School of Medicine and completed her residency at Mallinckrodt Institute.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 113 home sales in Olivette during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $259,000.
