Lewis is the director of student involvement at Maryville University in St. Louis, and the chair at Keith Lovin Institute for Leadership and Value. He is also with the University of Central Missouri in its career services department. Earlier, he was an assistant director at the University of Central Missouri.

He graduated from Missouri State University (2001) and received his master's in college student personnel at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville (2004).

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 174 home sales in Eureka during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $195,750.
