Lawyer, former radio station exec get Brentwood 4BD

Matthew J. Ghio and his wife, Laurie Swartz, bought a four-bedroom, two-bath home at 49 Whitehall Court in Brentwood from Carol A. Froese for $388,153 on March 16.

The 3,116-square-foot house was built in 1952 in Brentwood West. It is located in the Whitehall Court subdivision.

Ghio is a partner at Ghio & Desilets LLP, where he focuses on employment law. Previously, he was a partner at Chackes, Carlson, Spritzer & Ghio, LLP and has clerked at the United States Magistrate, Western District of Tennessee, and at the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District.

He obtained his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law and his A.B. in history and art history from Saint Louis University.

Ms. Swartz has been an account executive at KWMU, a radio station in St. Louis. She formerly was a sales representative for McGraw-Hill Higher Education and has also worked at K.P. Wesseling, Maritz Travel Company and the Francis Howell School District.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 138 condo sales in Brentwood during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $160,000.
