Novelist buys 5BD in Bridgeton

Steve Stranghoener and Bonnie Stranghoener bought a five-bed, four-bath home at 11426 Old St. Charles Road in Bridgeton from Giovanni Biondo and Ninfa Biondo for $540,000 on Mar. 4.

The 4,053-square-foot, two-story house in the Northfield subdivision was built in 2008.

Mr. Stranghoener is a book author who has published three novels. He was previously senior director for procurement at Anheuser-Busch InBev where he served the company for over 20 years. Prior to that, he worked as senior buyer at McDonnell Douglas Corp and teacher in the Hazelwood and Ferguson-Florissant school districts.

He obtained his education degree in history from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and his M.S. in business management from Maryville University of Saint Louis.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 63 home sales in Bridgeton during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $130,307.
