Jeffrey Nickel and Rachel A. Nickel bought a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 5971 Summerhedge Place in Concord (unincorporated) from John J. Schumacker and Maureen A. Schumacker for $280,000 on Aug. 3.

The 2,607-square-foot house was built in 1992 in the Summerhedge subdivision.

Mr. Nickel is executive officer of Armstrong World Industries Inc., a building materials industry. He served as the company's senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. He also served as the company's deputy general counsel of businesses and commercial law. Before joining Armstrong, he was a senior attorney at Dow Corning Corp. Before that, he was an associate with the Michigan law firm of Varnum Riddering Schmidt & Howlett LLP.

He received a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. in government from Harvard University. He is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and Michigan.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 59 home sales in Concord (unincorporated) during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $174,250.
