Associate lawyer, pediatrician opt for Webster Groves 4BD

Aahren Depalma and Leanne Depalma bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 513 Sunnyside Ave. in Webster Groves from John W. Brown and Teresa A. Brown for $335,450 on Sept. 7.

The Browns paid $330,000 for the property in Jan. 2007. The 1,880-square-foot house was built in 1920 in Webster Groves North. It is part of the Joy Place subdivision.

Mr. Depalma is an associate lawyer at the law firm Pitzer Snodgrass, P.C. Prior to this, he was an associate at Rabbitt, Pitzer & Snodgrass and a contract attorney at Korein Tillery, LLC. Before that, he was a staff attorney at Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman LLP and a clerk at Bunger & Robertson. He also was a legal intern at Community Legal Clinic and a litigation intern at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.

He obtained his J.D. from the Indiana University's Maurer School of Law, where he was a managing editor of the Indiana Law Journal. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science and international relations and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame.

Dr. Depalma is a pediatric emergency medicine and pediatrics specialist at St. Louis Children's Hospital, as well as an instructor of pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 188 home sales in Webster Groves during the past 12 months, with a median sale price of $203,000.
