National Zoo vet takes 3BD in Clayton

Stephen Blake and Sharon L. Deem bought a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 6355 Alamo Ave. in Clayton from Jerry J. Trent Jr. for $340,000 on Oct. 12.
The 1,588-square-foot house was built in 1929 in East of Hanley Road. It is located in Hi Pointe subdivision.
Deem is a research veterinarian at Smithsonian National Zoological Park. She joined the National Zoo in August 2002. Prior to this, she was a field veterianarian at the Wildlife Conservation Society based at the Bronx Zoo.
She holds a Ph.D. in veterinary medicine from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and a Ph.D. in veterianry epidemiology from the University of Florida. She earned her D.V.M. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 107 home sales in Clayton during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $526,000.
