The estate of Gene M. Schneider has listed for sale a four-bedroom, four-bath home at 43 Granada Way in Ladue for $569,000.
The 2,800-square-foot house was built in 1967 in Ladue North. It is part of the La Hacienda subdivision. Jean Schneider of Laura McCarthy-Clayton Real Estate has the listing.
Gene Schneider was the second generation owner of New Market Hardware Company, which was established in 1914.
He was a graduate of Washington University with a degree in mechanical engineering, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He died Sept. 10.
According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 44 home sales in Ladue during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $750,000.
