William and Susan Stiritz have listed for sale a four-bedroom, five-bath home at 38 Kingsbury Place in DeBaliviere Place for $1.35 million.

The Stiritzes paid $900,000 for the 4,855-square-foot home in Aug. 2004. Marcia Harris of Prudential Select Properties is the agent for the listing.

Mr. Stiritz is a private equity investor who has served as chairman of the board of Ralcorp Holdings Inc., a St. Louis-based company engaged in the manufacturing, distribution and marketing of branded cereals and a variety of store brand food products. He is also chairman emeritus of the board of Energizer Holdings Inc. and director of Reliance Bancshares Inc. as well as Vail Resorts Inc.

He has a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and a master's degree in European history from St. Louis University.

Ms. Stiritz teaches women, gender, and sexuality studies courses at Washington University. She is also faculty advisor to X Magazine, a Washington University student publication. She previously worked as a writer and a photographer for a St. Louis' anti-poverty agency.

She has an M.B.A. from the University of Missouri–St. Louis and a Ph.D. in English and American literature from Washington University. She has completed the women's studies graduate certificate program at Washington University and is currently working on her M.S.W. degree at the Brown School.

There were 15 sales in DeBaliviere Place in 2008, with a median price of $175,250.
