Dr. Arthur H. Combs and Barbara D. Combs have listed for sale a six-bedroom, 5.5-bath home at 53 Portland Place in the Central West End for $1.649 million.
The 8,000-square-foot house was built in 1912. Maria Elias of Coldwell Banker Gundaker is the listing agent for the home.
Dr. Combs is the chief executive officer at Grove Instruments, which conducts painless, bloodless, noninvasive glucose testing. He has given lectures at the Washington University School of Medicine. He served as the medical director of Mallinckrodt Inc., vice president of research and development and chief medical officer for Everest Biomedical Instruments Co. and as the chief medical officer and general manager at BMEYE B.V.
He attended the the University of Notre Dame and the New York Medical College.
