Margaret Garb and Mark G. Pegg bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 1824 Lasalle St. in Lafayette Square from Steven T. Taviner and Matthias Waschek for $304,000 on Dec. 14.
Taviner and Waschek paid $339,000 for the property in August 2004. The 2,708-square-foot house was built in 1883 in Lafayette Square.
Garb is associate professor of history at Washington University in St. Louis.
She holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University.
Pegg is an Australian professor of medieval history at Washington University in St. Louis.
He obtained his master's and Ph.D. from Princeton University and earned his B.A. from the University of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia.
According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 15 home sales in Lafayette Square during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $94,839.
