Gerald Sparrow bought a new four-bedroom, 3.5 bath at 2818 Christopher Bluffs Ln. in Oakville for $918,568 from Chesterfield-based builders Fischer and Fritchel Inc. on Aug. 16, 2006.

The 5,300 square foot home is one of nine in Fischer and Fritchel's Christopher Bluffs development. The company paid $200,000 for the property in Sept. 2006.

Kari A. Johnson-Fischer of Coldwell Banker Gundaker-Town and Country sold the home for what it was listed.

Mr. Sparrow is the founder, President and Chief Investment Officer for Sparrow Capital Management Inc. in St. Louis. He founded the investment advisory and portfolio management firm in 1988 and has served as the Chairman and President of the Sparrow Growth Fund since then as well. From 1987-88, he served as the Institutional Sales Representative for Strong/Corneliuson Capital Management, Inc. in Milwaukee.

Mr. Sparrow received his bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri (1985) and his M.B.A. from Washington University (1987).

Fischer and Fritchel has served the St. Louis area for more than six decades and currently offers developments in Ballwin, Chesterfield, Creve Coeur, Dardenne Prairie, Kirkwood, Lake St. Louis, St. Albans, St. Charles and Sunset Hills.
