Katharine Gottsacker and her husband, Mark, bought a four-bedroom, two bath at 12550 Falling Leaves Ct. in Creve Coeur for $510,000 from Jorge and Patricia Viamontes on Jan. 30.
Nicholas Sepac of RE/MAX Midwest listed the home for $520,000.
Since January, Mrs. Gottsacker has served as the Director of Food Education and Culinary Arts for Midwestern grocery giant Schnuck Markets Inc. She was named to the position on Jan. 26, and is responsible for developing culinary training and education programs for Schnuck's associates.
She is a former culinary expert based in San Antonio, where she started the Pink Peppercorn School of Cooking in 1993 and eventually operated a cooking school for Texas grocers H-E-B in 1997. She was also a member of the Les Dames d'Escoffier, a culinary institute for women in San Antonio.
Mrs. Gottsacker is also the former host of "The House and Home Show," which appears on San Antonio cable television.
She earned her bachelor's from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. (1978).
Mr. Gottsacker is the former national sales manager for Great American Products, based in New Braunfels, Texas.
The Viamontes own a home in Creve Coeur, which they purchased in 2005.
