Newly appointed First Bank President and CEO Robert S. Holmes Jr. and his wife, Tracee, sold their five-bedroom, three bath at 8010 Rosiline Dr. in Clayton for $621,500 to John and Caroline Rice on April 27.

The Holmeses paid $405,000 for the home in Sept. 1998.

Susan Thomas of Prudential Alliance Realtors was the agent for the sale. The listed price was $699,850.

Mr. Holmes was named the new President and CEO of Creve Coeur-based First Bank on June 4. He will take over his new role, and the position as Executive Vice President of First Banks Inc. on June 25.

Boasting a lengthy banking resume, Mr. Holmes most recently served as the Group Senior Vice President of LaSalle Bank's regional banking operation in Chicago. He also served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for the same division for LaSalle Bank, and worked from 1996 to March 2006 as the Senior Vice President and Region Head for LaSalle Bank. He originally joined LaSalle in St. Louis in 1996 after working for 11 years with Boatmen's National Bank in St. Louis.

Mr. Holmes received his M.B.A. from St. Louis University and bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

He and Tracee have previously owned a home at 959 Old Bonhomme Rd. in University City.

The Rices sold their four-bedroom, three bath home at 7511 Westmoreland Ave. in Clayton for $1.05 million on Apr. 2.
