Oncologist buys "green" in University City

Dr. Mary Conti bought a new four-bedroom, 3.5 bath in University City at 7458 Washington Ave. for $695,500 from Highland Homes on April 26.

Steven Mathes of Coldwell Banker-Gundaker listed the 3,400 square foot home for $699,000.

Dr. Conti is a radiologist at the Illinois Metro Radiation Therapy center in Fairview Heights, Ill., which is about 15 miles east of St. Louis. She is board certified in radiation oncology, diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine.

Dr. Conti earned her medical degree from the Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. She had an internship and fellowship at the school as well.

Highland Homes is a custom homebuilder, currently developing five communities in and around the St. Louis area. Highland has been recognized for building "green"; the practice of increasing the efficiency which buildings and their sites use and harvest energy, water and materials thus reducing impacts on human health and the environment.
