Frank Brostrom and his wife, Rhonda, are selling their four bedroom, 4.5 bath in the Mehlville area of South St. Louis County at 13353 Bahnfyre Dr. with a list price of $409,000.
It was originally listed for $419,000.
The Brostroms paid $265,000 for 3,773 square foot home in Sep. 1999. It was built in 1990.
Betsy Phillips of Coldwell Banker Gundaker Relocation is the listing agent for the sale.
Mr. Brostrom is an FBI agent and was recently transferred to North Carolina. According to a June 2006 article in the Riverfront Times, he was working as a special agent in charge of the FBI's Art Crime Team in St. Louis when he initiated the investigation that led to the discovery of a vintage Norman Rockwell painting that was stolen from a Clayton art gallery in 1973.
The painting entitled Russian Schoolhouse is in the possession of film director Steven Spielberg, a noted Rockwell collector. He purchased the piece in 1989. An employee of Mr. Spielbergs noticed an FBI alert looking for the painting and contacted the authorities.
