Business partners swap $2 million home in Ladue

Dru Schmitt and his wife, Deborah, bought a five-bedroom, five bath at 13 Twin Springs Ln. in Ladue for $2 million from Joe and Nicole DiMartini on May 24.

The Dimartinis paid $1.395 million for the property in Oct. 2003.

Diane Rosenfeld of Laura McCarthy real estate was the agent for the sale. The 5,000 square foot home sold for its listed price.

Mr. Schmitt was one of three co-founders of Anthony, Allan & Quinn, a marketing service based in Earth City, Mo. He helped found the company in 1993 with his brother Dan Schmitt and Mr. DiMartini, but then sold his share in the company in 2005.

He specialized in computer technology for the company.

Dru Schmitt went on to co-found Advanced Business Fulfillment with the same partners in 1997. The company, which served as an outsource vendor for healthcare document processing, was bought by WebMD in 2003.

Mr. Schmitt attended the University of Northern Iowa.

Mr. DiMartini also sold his share in Anthony, Allan & Quinn to Dan Schmitt in 2005. He went on to co-found Columbus Capital Partners, a St. Louis-based holdings company, in 2006.

Prior to helping start Columbus Capital, Mr. DiMartini served as the President and CEO of Advanced Business Fulfillment.

He also attended the University of Northern Iowa.

The DiMartinis sold a seven-bedroom, four bath at 3 Carrswold Dr. in Clayton for $1.65 million in May 2006. They also paid $3.2 million for a six-bedroom, four bath at neighboring 4 Carrswold Ct. in Clayton in May 2006.
