Alan E. Freed and his wife, Merle, bought a four-bedroom, two bath at 4 Waverton Dr. in Ladue for $415,000 from John and Tammy Kroner on May 21.

Mr. Kroner paid $280,500 for the property in June 2006.

Stephanie Combs of Keller Williams real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed as high as $439,900 when it appeared on the market in Jan. 2006.

Mr. Freed is an attorney focusing on family law for St. Louis law firm Paule Camazine & Blumenthal. He specializes in mediation of divorce issues, dissolution of marriage, child custody, paternity, juvenile proceedings and adoptions for the firm.

He has 17 years of experience in mediation in domestic relations.

Mr. Freed is also an adjunct faculty member at Washington University School of Law in St. Louis.

He received his J.D. from the Washington University School of Law (1983) and his bachelor's from Kent State University (1974).

Mrs. Freed had run a clothing boutique named after her in Ladue.
