Betty M. Rozier bought a four-bedroom, two bath at 418 Seven Gables Ct. in Chesterfield for $424,900 from Michael J. Volmert on June 20.
Volmert paid $225,000 for the property in July 1995.
Susie Gitt of Coldwell Banker Gundaker realty sold the home for the listed price.
Ms. Rozier is the President and co-founder of the I.V. House Inc., a medical supply company based in Chesterfield.
Ms. Rozier teamed with daughter and registered nurse Lisa Vallino in 1992 to develop a plastic intravenous catheter shield for use with IVs in hospitals, and the two received a patent for the invention in 1993.
The idea has evolved into the I.V. House UltraDressing, which prevents an IV needle from being accidentally dislodged or nurses being required to restart an IV process. The invention won a Gold Award in the 2002 Industrial Design Excellence Awards and the St. Louis Technology Award in the health-care industry the same year.
