Famous Footwear exec buys in Clayton

Thomas Sicari and his wife, Gaye, bought a four-bedroom, one bath at 21 Hillvale Dr. in Clayton for $925,000 from Dr. Barry Chapnick and his wife, Judi, on June 21.

The Chapnicks paid $130,000 for the property in Jan. 1980.

Merry Dahms of RE/MAX Associates Plus was the agent for the sale. The listed price was $965,000.

Mr. Sicari is the Vice President of Divisional Merchandise and Manager of Athletics for St. Louis-based shoe retail giant Famous Footwear. He was hired to the position in June 2001 and oversees the athletic business at Famous Footwear, which is a division of St. Louis-based Brown Shoe Co.

Prior to joining Famous Footwear, Mr. Sicari worked as the Senior Vice President and General Merchandise Manager at Finish Line, Inc. He joined the ranks at Finish Line as a senior footwear buyer in 1995 after working as a footwear buyer for Sports Authority.

He has also worked for Champs Sports.

Dr. Chapnick is a former faculty member in the Department of Pharmacological and Physiological Science at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

Mrs. Chapnick is a real estate agent for RE/MAX Associates Plus and was a co-agent for the sale of the home at 21 Hillvale Dr.
