Dr. Keith Stockerl-Goldstein and his wife, Karen, bought a five-bedroom, 3.5 bath in Richmond Heights at 8039 South Dr. for $1.135 million from Gary VanWagnen and his wife, Tere Richardson, on July 5.

VanWagnen and Richardson paid $480,000 for the property in 1993.

Janet McAffee's Sophie Lee listed the 4,177 square foot home for $1.299 million.

Dr. Stockerl-Goldstein is an associate professor of medicine in the oncology division at the Washington University School of Medicine. He came to Washington earlier this year after being at the Stanford School of Medicine in Palo Alto, Calif., for 16 years.

He earned a B.A. in Biology from Washington University and his medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine.

Mr. VanWagnen and Ms. Richardson are involved in land development with their Egypt Bluff Properties in Alabama.

Mr. Van Wagnen is also a partner with IBM business consulting service.
