John Horseman and his wife, Susan, bought a five-bedroom, five bath at 10490 Ladue Rd. in Creve Coeur for $1.95 million from Bernard and Judith Levin on July 31.

The Levins paid $1 million for the home in 1998. It was built in 1927 and remodeled in 2004.

Laura Donovan of Gladys Manion Inc. real estate was the agent for the sale. The 9,353 square foot home was listed as high as $2.7 million when it appeared on the market in May 2006.

Mr. Horseman is a financial advisor based in St. Louis.

A 25-year veteran of the industry, he runs a private financial planning firm servicing clients in both Missouri and Illinois, specializing in wealth management and retirement planning.

The former stockbroker and real estate agent received his bachelor's from Wittenburg University in Springfield, Ohio.

The Horsemans previously lived at 16519 Kingspointe Lake Ln., and listed the five-bedroom, six bath home for $1.149 million in July.

Creve Coeur home sales have remained the same through July 2007 vs. the same period in 2006. The median price over that time period has risen $56,000 from $284,000 in 2006 to $340,000 so far this year.

Median sales prices in Creve Coeur climbed steadily until 2004 before dropping dramatically by 2006, according to BlockShopper Metrics, which began keeping track in 1999.
